Shooting of Vietnamese fishermen: MMEA followed firearm rules of engagement

PUTRAJAYA, Aug 18 — Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) personnel had adhered to the firearm rules of engagement before firing shots at Vietnamese fishing boats in an incident, about 180 km from Tok Bali, Kelantan, last Sunday, said its director-general Admiral Datuk Mohd Zubil Mat Som.

Kelantan police confirm Vietnamese fisherman shot by MMEA personnel dies

KOTA BHARU, Aug 17 — Kelantan police have confirmed that a Vietnamese fisherman died after being shot by a member of the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) of Kelantan.
